The EMDR Canada Conference team wanted a reflective and heartwarming film that captured the highlights from their 2025 conference.

Key challenges included working around conference lighting being bland or insufficient, crafting a compelling story from hours of transcripts and selecting minimal dialogue that perfectly told the story of the EMDR conference. Then, creating a seamless edit that guides the viewer on an emotional journey within a two-minute timeframe.

To address the insufficient lighting, we brought in several lights and composed our shots to achieve the most flattering look for the speakers.

Shana knew what she wanted regarding dialogue due to extensive pre-planning and discussions with the EMDR team, and our experience as filmmakers allowed us to identify the emotional beats for a seamless edit.

A month before the conference began, Shana discussed the schedule and her vision for the videos with the conference team.

Before filming, Shana developed an original concept for the highlight video and outlined the footage needed for the testimonial and social media videos.

This project included a total of 21 videos, including one highlight video, testimonial videos and social media videos.

The project took 2 months to complete from concept to the final delivery.
