Official Bio

Shana Lee Gibson is an award-winning documentary filmmaker and writer. Her films have been screened at Yale University, the Short Circuit Pacific Rim Film Festival and the Canada Shorts Festival. Ruth (2023) won Best Cinematography and was nominated for Best Editing and Best Film in the Art of Documentary Fall 2023 competition. Small Work (2025) was nominated for the best collaboration award at the Art of Documentary Spring 2025 competition and will screen at the Lightspeed Exhibition in January 2026.
