Todays Spiritual Tip: Peace and Harmony Prayer

The Peace and Harmony prayer by Paramahansa Yogananda is powerful! Have you ever been in the middle of an argument with a family member and said a silent prayer only to have them calm down and suddenly be open to your point of view? The conversation flows easier and you are able to reach a deeper understanding? That’s what this prayer has the potential to do. I’ve seen it in my own life numerous times!

#1. Follow the instructions and be diligent in your prayer practice.

#2. No matter what the other person has done, you’ll need to be receptive to healing happening in different ways than you expect. A healing always occurs for the highest good. You may think you know what another person’s highest good is, but we don’t. Only God knows the lessons each person must learn. In many cases, things may get worse before they get better.

#3. Some people will respond quickly to this prayer because they are more receptive to the loving impulses of their soul and less tied to their ego. Others may not respond at all. When someone is closed off or stuck in their point of view (ego), they are choosing to harden their hearts to the truth. Continue praying for them and let the seed of your intentions grow behind the scenes until one day they come to fruition.

#4. When you sincerely pray for others, you will receive enormous benefit! Notice subtle changes that occur within you as you pray. Follow loving inner guidance as you receive it and keep moving forward. Don’t let a situation bring you down, ask for the courage to stand above the negative situation so you can maintain an honest and loving perspective.

Lastly, this too shall pass. Don’t let the conflict run your life! If you can remove yourself and keep praying behind the scenes, do so. If not, keep the faith and believe in God’s healing miracles. He will never let you down!
